Partneriaeth Penllyn Partnership
Partneriaeth Penllyn - The Penllyn Partnership The Penllyn Partnership comprises representatives from Bala Town Council and of the four Community Councils of Llandderfel, Llangywer, Llanycil , Llanuwchllyn. The Partnership was established in 2009 because of concern that services were being provided from a distance – or not at all – and therefore not meeting the needs of users. Partneriaeth Penllyn believes that services are best delivered locally whenever practical, and endeavours to ensure that this happens with as many services and agencies possible. Aims: 1. Provide local services on behalf of Gwynedd Council (at present we maintain some public footpaths, public toilets, play areas and street furniture). 2. Be a strong voice for the Penllyn area, as we believe that five Councils speaking with one voice is more effective than acting separately. We try to bring influence to bear on public services in order to ensure the best level of service for Penllyn. 3. Persuade some public services and agencies to return to the area so that they are closer to the people. Co-ordinator: Sioned Haf Evans, Canolfan Henblas, Y Bala - 01678 521 796 Cwmni Pum Plwy Penllyn cyf In 2013 Partneriaeth Penllyn members formed a limited not-for-profit company under warrant called Cwmni Pum Plwy Penllyn cyf in order to be able to apply for grants and to work in areas outside the remit of Gwynedd Council.
